9 Mantras for Happiness

Many people spend their life getting some unhealthy behaviours out of their system like sleeping till afternoon, eating unhealthy food & spending all their money on shopping. They are always complaining, crying, comparing and working for satisfying others. They have been never bothered about achieving personal and professional fulfilment in their own life.

Mentioned are these 9 mantras which will get a transition in your life and will result in laying foundation for life long happiness.

1. Start going to sleep and waking up at the same time every day.

It might be tempting to use the weekends to recoup your sleep debt, but I request you to hit the bed hit bed & wake up the same time every single day. Over sleeping risks, re-setting your body clock to a different cycle, so you'll start getting annoyed & tired later in the day. You can eliminate a lifetime of sleep dis-order by sticking to bedtime and wakeup routines.

2. Start exercising regularly.

Choose the physical activities you really love. It can be anything from walking, running, cycling, swimming, hiking or workout in the gym as long as it involves movement. If you dislike the workout, go for cardio or marathon training but get on to physical activities. Your body starts losing muscle mass over a period & hence the need to exercise.

3. Start writing a journal.

Journal your life. Your written records will entertain and endear your life in the future. Putting your thoughts on paper on how you want the day to go or how your day has gone is not difficult.

4. Start pursuing a life dream.

Delaying in pursuing your life goals is a bad sign. You may just keep on wandering without any life. “Want to tour the world, buy a big car, move into a bigger apartment, get married, write a book, Become a CEO” and anything under the sun. Write down and get going. Pick one of a few of these life goals and get started.

5. Start learning to be happy with what you have.

You will certainly have a much happier life if you are content with what you have, with you. It’s all about gratitude. Research strongly suggests that appreciating what you have can increase happiness and decrease negative feelings. Oprah Winfrey has been keeping a daily gratitude journal for years.

6. Stop thinking you need to satisfy everyone.

There is a myth that you need to satisfy everyone. No. there is no need to please everyone you are connected with. You can choose your friends and contacts more carefully. Please realize, you are not obligated to be nice to people who are unfriendly with you. You can just walk away from them.

7. Stop comparing yourself to others.

Everyone is different in appearance and capability. Some may achieve more & some may less. It is not necessary that all successful people are satisficed and happy. In life, if you are unable to do some things when compared to your peers, siblings and friends, please stop comparing. Be at peace with yourself and don't be harsh.

Constantly peering over your shoulder to see what others are doing will not help you accomplish your goals. You need to work towards and apply all your energy and time on what you want to achieve and evaluating your progress on those fronts..

8. Start forgiving yourself for your mistakes.

We all make plenty of mistakes at some point of time in our live. Some are silly and some are grave but they are mistakes. Don't dwell on the errors of the past. It is best to learn from them, let them go and move ahead. Forgive yourself for your mistakes. Self-compassion (the ability to forgive yourself and learn from your mistakes) is the key driver of success. That's likely because people who practice self-compassion see their weaknesses as changeable and try to avoid

9. Start saving money.

A penny saved is a penny earned. We have all learnt this years ago but have failed to practice the same. Making a habit of saving means to continue the same life long. The rules of finance and compounding clearly states, the earlier you start saving, the more time your money has to grow. You may start now if you have not done till now. Better late than never.
